Spring is fast turning into summer and the North Lakes footpath team are drawing to a close on the section of path carried over from last year, Esk Hause to Sprinkling Tarn. Not that anyone told the weather about the change in season: Monday was particularly wet and winds were forecast to gust up to 100mph! Tuesday was better but even then the team experienced sqaully showers of rain, hail and sleet. We move on to Stake Pass after the Bank Holiday where we will begin the third year's work on this path with our colleagues from the South Lakes. We'll keep an eye on how the Esk Hause work beds in over the summer but in the meantime look out for our blogs from Stake Pass, beginning next week.
